Featured in Women Thrive Magazine: Why Brand Authority Is the Greatest Business Advantage Women in Midlife Already Have
There are moments in business that feel exciting because they represent recognition, and then there are moments that feel deeply meaningful because they give you an opportunity to amplify a message you believe the world desperately needs to hear.
Being featured in Women Thrive Magazine with my article, "Magnetic Brand Authority in Midlife: Women 50+ In Business Creating a Legacy," was one of those moments for me.
Not just because my name appeared in a magazine, or because became another accomplishment to add to my resume (although that is super cool, too)…
But because it gave me a platform to speak directly to the women I have spent nearly a decade serving, and believing in long before they believed in themselves.
The women in midlife who wonder whether they missed their chance.
The women who have spent decades building careers, raising families, supporting spouses, caring for aging parents, volunteering in their communities, navigating life's unexpected detours, and becoming extraordinary through lived experience, yet somehow still convince themselves that the online business world belongs to someone younger, louder, trendier, or more technologically savvy.
Every single day, I meet women who carry decades of wisdom while simultaneously carrying decades of self-doubt. And if I'm being completely honest, I think that's one of the greatest tragedies in entrepreneurship today.
The Greatest Untapped Resource in Business Isn't Artificial Intelligence. It's Women in Midlife.
If you are a woman over fifty who has ever looked around social media and wondered whether there is still space for you, I want you to know that this article was written with you in mind.
Because somehow somewhere, we've allowed entrepreneurship to convince brilliant women that success belongs to the fastest content creator, the youngest entrepreneur, or the person willing to keep up with every trend that appears on Instagram.
The women I know possess something infinitely more valuable.
Perspective.
Discernment.
Resilience.
Emotional intelligence.
Leadership.
The ability to recognize patterns that only decades of experience can teach.
The confidence that comes from surviving seasons that would have broken someone with less life behind them.
None of those qualities can be downloaded from a course.
None of them can be manufactured through a marketing strategy.
Yet they are the very qualities that create the strongest, most magnetic brands.
Before Magnetic Midlife, There Was My Own Story
Long before I created Magnetic Midlife, my signature 1:1 coaching container for midlife women entrepreneurs, I was simply a young mother sitting at my kitchen table with a laptop, an overwhelming amount of determination, and absolutely no roadmap for how I was going to build a business.
I had left my traditional career after my son was born because something deep inside me refused to believe that my purpose in life was to spend my best years building someone else's dream while completely ignoring my own.
What I did have was faith, curiosity and an unwavering belief that somehow I could create something meaningful, even if I had absolutely no idea what it would eventually become.
There were no guarantees.
There wasn't a village waiting to help me.
There wasn't a perfectly curated business plan sitting on my desk.
There was simply a woman choosing, every single day, to keep moving forward despite not knowing exactly where the path would lead.
Looking back now, I realize I wasn't building a business…I was building belief.
The Moment Everything Changed Had Nothing to Do With My Website
People often assume the biggest turning point in my business happened when I raised my prices, redesigned my website, or learned a new marketing strategy.
The truth is far less glamorous.
Everything changed the moment I stopped introducing myself by what I did and started becoming known for what I believed.
I stopped trying to become the person who could help everyone.
Instead, I became deeply committed to helping the right people recognize themselves in my message.
That subtle shift changed everything.
My pricing changed because people finally understood my value.
My confidence changed because my work finally reflected who I was.
My referrals multiplied because people knew exactly what to say when recommending me.
And most importantly, I stopped chasing opportunities because the right ones began finding me.
That is the power of magnetic brand authority.
That is the foundation Magnetic Midlife was built on.
What Magnetic Midlife Really Means
When people hear the words Magnetic Midlife, they often assume I'm simply talking about coaching women over fifty.
Yes, and no.
I'm also talking about helping women arrive at a season of business where they finally stop apologizing for everything they've already lived through.
I'm talking about helping women recognize that the decades they've spent becoming who they are were never detours - they were preparation.
Magnetic Midlife is about taking your lived experience, your wisdom, your expertise, your story, your personality, your perspective, and your vision, and building a business that finally reflects all of it.
Because your brand should never ask you to become someone else. Your brand should introduce the world to the woman you've already become.
The Women I Work With Aren't Starting From Scratch
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that women in midlife need to reinvent themselves.
I disagree completely.
The women I work with don't need reinvention - they need recognition.
They need someone to help them identify the brilliance they've been overlooking because it has become so natural to them.
They need someone to package decades of experience into messaging that feels clear, compelling, and deeply authentic.
They need someone who sees what they can no longer see because they've been standing too close to their own gifts.
That is the work I love most. I love watching a woman realize that the thing she's been dismissing as "just something I've always done" is actually the very reason people will choose to hire her.
Legacy Isn't Built Through Trends. It's Built Through Trust.
One of the reasons I wanted to write for Women Thrive Magazine is because I believe women in midlife are thinking differently about success.
Many are no longer chasing hustle for the sake of hustle.
They're thinking about freedom.
Impact.
Time.
Family.
Meaning.
Legacy.
They're asking bigger questions.
How do I want my work to feel?
What do I want to be remembered for?
What kind of business actually reflects the woman I've become?
Those are the questions that create lasting brands.
Because legacy isn't built by going viral, it’s built by becoming unforgettable to the people you're meant to serve.
If You're Reading This, I Want You to Remember One Thing
If you've been waiting until you feel more qualified…
If you've been telling yourself you're too old to start…
If you've convinced yourself that younger entrepreneurs somehow have an advantage over everything you've lived through…
I hope you'll borrow my belief until yours catches up.
Because I have built my entire business around one simple truth: The most magnetic women I've ever worked with aren't the ones who know every algorithm. They're the women who finally gave themselves permission to be seen.
